Jay Curkendall, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Jay Curkendall completed his undergraduate training at the California State University at Fullerton in 1999. In 2003 Dr. Curkendall received his Medical Degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at Saint Joseph-Exempa Hospital in Denver, Colorado, one of the busiest birthing centers in the state of Colorado. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Curkendall has received several awards and honors. These include The Chancellor’s Award of Academic Achievement and honors in Spanish Literature from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He was also awarded The Miles D. Mccarthy Health Professions Award from the California State University at Fullerton.
Dr. Jay Curkendall has unique work and research experience such as teaching review courses in physics, chemistry, biology, and literature. He is also experienced in scientific research. He has worked for Federal Emergency Management Agency traveling to regions affected by natural disasters and implemented relief programs.
Dr. Curkendall has joined Capital OB/GYN, Inc. in 2009, and his fluency in Spanish allows him to bring care to the local Spanish community. He has been a great addition to our practice, and his calm character is comforting to his patients.
Dr. Curkendall takes pride in the quality care he delivers to his patients. He is a good listener and enjoys caring for his patients as complete individuals for all their health, surgical and pregnancy needs.
After a busy day at the office, Dr. Curkendall loves to cook a great meal and enjoys spending time with his children.
