Jaime Skeeters, PA-C
Jaime Skeeters was raised in the foothills of Northern California and grew up loving the outdoors. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of California Davis with a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. In 2002, she married a U.S. Air Force pilot, and shortly after gained entrance to the University of California Davis Family Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant Program. During her training as a primary care provider, she was exposed to several areas of medicine and fell in love with pediatrics and women’s health.
After obtaining her certification in 2004 as a physician assistant, she began working in a women’s health community clinic, and she has remained devoted to the specialty. She came to Capital ObGyn in 2016 from the Birthing Project Clinic, where she developed a passion for obstetrics. As a mother of two young children herself, she can empathize with her patients about the myriad of emotions that often accompany pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. She feels honored to join parents on the journey as a blip on an ultrasound screen transforms into a beautiful healthy baby. She also enjoys establishing long lasting relationships with patients as their families grow
In her free time, she still enjoys the outdoors, and her family considers Truckee their home away from home. When she’s not on the side line of her child’s soccer game or stuck in the long elementary school pick-up lines, she can also be found paddle boarding with her dog Penny.
