Dr. Laura Watters, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Laura Watters graduated summa cum laude with a degree in neuroscience from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA before receiving her medical degree from the University of Colorado. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where she received the department award for teaching. In 2014, Dr. Watters moved to Sacramento and joined Capital OB/GYN.
Dr. Watters was born in Lake Arrowhead and enjoyed a childhood spent in the southern California mountains. Her family moved to Denver when she was 10 years old and she grew up in Colorado, a state that she loves and still returns to often. She returned to southern California to attend college it was there that she met the man she would eventually marry.
Dr. Watters loves to practice medicine, and is thrilled to be a member of the Capital OB/GYN team. She is committed to women's health, and especially enjoys the opportunity to follow patients over the course of years, building relationships and delivering quality care for a lifetime. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her German Shepherd, Rosco. The three of them can often be found curled up in the family room watching old TV shows.
